Irish American Hockey Association: About Irish Hockey
The Irish American Hockey Association:

A group of successful business men and woman throughout North America who are proud of their Irish Heritage and are looking to give back to the land of their forefathers by supporting and promoting the great game we all grew up with: Ice Hockey. The Irish American Hockey Association is working very closely with youth hockey programs in Ireland in the hope that the kids of Ireland can start to enjoy the life lasting friendships and bonds that the game of hockey produces here in North America.
The game of ice hockey is still in its infancy in Ireland with the opening of Ireland first permanent ice hockey rink in December of 2006; but the passion for the sport is undeniable. The Irish kids have taken to the game of ice hockey and have developed an insatiable appetite for all things hockey.
Though its outreach program, the Irish American Hockey Association is working closely with the Dundalk Bulls Youth Hockey Program in Ireland to facilitate the placement of youth hockey players from Ireland into Summer Hockey Camps throughout the US and Canada. These hockey camps (some of which cost upwards of $1200.00 per week) are welcoming any Irish youth hockey player completely free of charge, as guests of the Irish American Hockey Association in hopes that the kids of Ireland will take home what they’ve learned at the various camps and continue to develop a passion for the game back in Ireland.
Many thanks to Aeidamar Sally, Director of the Dundalk Bulls Youth Hockey Program in Ireland, who is working with the Irish American Hockey Association and coordinating the youth hockey camp placement efforts in Ireland.
The Irish American Hockey Association will serve as host of two ice hockey teams coming from Ireland to Boston for St. Patrick’s Day. The Dundalk Bulls Senior team will be the guests of the Irish American Hockey Association and compete in the 3rd Annual Irish Ice Hockey Classic: Boston 2010. Also being sponsored as guests of IAIHA will be a youth hockey team from Ireland who will be playing youth hockey games in the Boston area while the Senior team competes in the Irish Ice Hockey Classic 2010.
The Irish American Hockey Association recently made a financial contribution to the Dundalk Bulls Youth Hockey Association in Ireland. In addition to their financial support of ice hockey in Ireland, the Irish American Ice Hockey Association also sent over new youth hockey skates and ice hockey equipment including gloves, skates, pads and autographed Boston Bruins Game Jerseys and apparel that will be auctioned off in Ireland to raise money for the benefit youth hockey players and programs in Ireland.
